What’s new
Until now, when a customer needed to correct their shipping address, they were taken to a separate update form. With this update, the form is now embedded directly on the Thank You page, keeping everything in one place.
This makes the correction process faster, more visible, and more likely to be completed before the order is fulfilled.
Why Thank You Page validation matters
If you're not already validating addresses on the Thank You page, now is the time to start.
Thank You page validation ensures that every order is checked, even when address details weren’t available at checkout.
This happens more often than you'd expect, especially with Express payment methods like Google Pay, Apple Pay, or PayPal. These methods collect the address outside of Shopify's checkout, meaning we can only validate the address after the order is placed.
That’s where Thank You page validation comes in. It allows you to catch and correct bad addresses before fulfillment begins.

What’s changed with this update
Instead of showing a link to an external update form, Address Validator now shows the full update form embedded on the Thank You page.
Result:
Merchants are seeing higher completion rates when the form appears directly on the page. Customers are more likely to correct mistakes because it’s faster and simpler—no new tabs, no redirects.
How to Enable the Embedded Update Form
This feature is available only for stores using Shopify’s Thank You page extensibility. If you haven’t upgraded yet, we recommend doing so soon, as Shopify is deprecating the legacy Thank You page.
To enable the embedded form:
Go to Address Validator > Update Forms
Enable the option: Show Address Update Form on Thank You Page
The update form will now appear automatically for orders that require validation.
💡 Pro Tip
To improve visibility on mobile, you can add the Address Validator app block to both the shipping info and remember me sections of your checkout. This ensures customers always see the prompt, especially on one-page checkout layouts.
